No Aircraft Model in Selection Screen

Featured Replies

Hi Simmmers,I have tried searching - but couldnt find it again - a thread that made mention of the aircraft model preview in the aicraft selection screen being blank - like mine is.I have a 6800GT (81.98drivers) and I seem to remember it having something to do with Antialiasing being set high (8x) does anybody else remember this or have the same problem?Scott Stephens

Have the same. I found that by solving it (in one way or another) something else just got FUBAR, so I left it. If you need to see the aircrafts you can always hit Alt + Enter for windowed view, and go back to fullscreen when your'e done.Hope this helps!Eagle

I've found whenever I had a black preview screen for an aircraft, the problem was in one of the statements in the aircraft cfg.I maybe seem to recall that there was a very very minor error (punctuation even?) in the "sim=" statement. Black meant the computer couldn't even find the airplane. A blank airplane with no paint means the texture statement could be wrong or no texture folder for it.my2cents [fltsim=0]title=sim=ui_manufacturer=ui_type=ui_variation=

This is the result of a problem with the more recent nVidia drivers. I've tried several things, but the only total solution was to turn AA to application mode and set AA on in FS. Folks say this degrades performance, but I haven't noticed any problems on my system.DJ

Thanks guys,Dj I think you are correct - I must admit I have followed the advice here and have it deselected in FS - might have to tyr it.Scott

I had the same issue when I installed a 6800. I dropped back to the 71.84 drivers and the aircraft models reappeared. Running full AA and AF without problems.
