Norwegian has LED strobes on their newer 737-800 and are retrofitting older with them also I believe.

Ah cool! Pretty rare though so I don't see PMDG wasting their time integrating something that one airline has retrofitted to a handful of NGs

Like the 5th engine option for the 747 that was only ever used by one airline, right?

PMDG always goes above and beyond as far as options are concerned. Like them or hate them, I don't think anyone can argue that all of their products have more options than anyone will ever want or care about; that's what makes the products awesome, and I have no reason to expect the NGX v3 won't have even the most obscure of airline options.
