What Sucks? Internet Dependancy!

Featured Replies

What a brilliant application! I was so pleased to say goodbye to ezdok.

Today I had a day off so a great time for me to fly.

Unfortunately, the internet went down for the whole area so while everything else in my system worked, no chaseplane.

This Sunday would be another great day for me to fly but they're working on the NBN here and they have advised we will lose the internet for a good part of the day.

A reliable internet connection is no longer something I can depend upon with Australia's ratty national broadband network screwed by our government.

Sadly, I love and have become dependent on chaseplane but now regret the work I've put into it and am now off to buy ezdok 2 for the obvious reason that it works without an internet connection.

I hope this method of protection changes in the future but for now and with great disappointment I'm shelving Chaseplane so that I can use my system regardless of an internet connection.

Keven has already indicated that he will be addressing the issue after the release of v1.x.

Am I a fan of it?  No. but Internet dependency was no secret.

It has been discussed multiple times on this forum and the 'Join the Alpha', page clearly states 'Active Internet Connection to use the software'.
