I don't have EZdok and Chaseplane is a learning curve for an oldie like me. Is there a way to install only to FSX so that I can 'play' with it without changing my P3D settings?

Not at this time. When you install ChasePlane, it installs on all your sims.

It's definitely on the list of things to improve.

Didn't know that it installed in all sims; but the solution is fairly simple.  

Set VFX and Chase Plane to not autostart with P3D.  Delete or rename the existing Chase Plane modified Camera.cfg.  Restore the backup or make a copy and rename to Camera.cfg.

Remove the Chase Plane and or VFX entries from the P3D DLL.XML and/or EXE.XML files if they are present.

Restart P3D.. I don't know of CP alters these files again on update, but if so, you'll need to repeat the process after an update.

I don't think it would matter to your P3D install, you can global disable chaseplane and you won't change any key bindings in P3D so you wouldn't notice a difference
