March 23, 20179 yr So I have always had huge problems installing scenery of any kind in my flight sim and I end up needing to drag and drop all of the scenery and texture files into the FSX directory scenery and texture. But after trying to install T2G KSTL that did not work so I just put the folder containing the scenery and texture into addon scenery and trying my old method listed above, still no luck. I tried to do the usual method and find the folder and activate it in the FSX addon scenery menu and I end up with a half installed scenery with half the addon runway and a few default buildings in a big flat spot. I tried the repair tool and still nothing. Any more suggestions?
March 24, 20179 yr It may be due to where I purchased it, but my installation ends up in FSX/SimMarket/KSTL FSX, where fsx is my default FSX directory. It has been 18 months since I installed my FSX and scenery onto a new system so not positive about my next statement, but I believe upon installing with the installer there is no need to activate the scenery in the Scenery Manager. I believe the installer accomplished that. Drive:\fsx/SimMarket/KSTL FSX With two subdirectories: /KSTL_FSX /KSTL_FSX_TERRAIN Those two subdirectories each have scenery and texture subdirectories. March 24, 20179 yr Ok so I got it working for the most part but the scenery around the airport is just flat with the textures for the tops of the houses on the ground. I saw a terrain folder but I don't know where to put its files.
