Pilot - Copilot online flying

Featured Replies

I only tried online flying once and it was with my nephew. I am somewhat limited by my 56 k connection. One option in FS9 for online flying is flying as an observer in the cockpit of the host flyer instead of two or more airplanes flying together.I don't really know how that works but I was wondering if it's possible for FS9 or FSX(10)to recreate the pilot / copilot atmosphere for online flying. Visually, one flyer(the host)would sit in the lefthand seat and the copilot would sit in the right hand seat with the appropriate views and independent pan viewing in the VC. If each player has their own computer and independent video cards that is capable of displaying two individual aircraft can software be developed to allow independent views and cursor movements in the same cockpit / airplane? There could only be one player at a time controlling the flight controls but the click points in the VC could be activated by each pilot AND the two cursors seen by both pilots for cockpit interaction. Typically, in the real world, one pilot would take-off and the other would land. I would just like someone sitting next to me to talk to and to take over when active camera and I go to the lavatory or calm down a passenger.

I am looking for this also. Let me know if you find anything?

Yes there is a program like that out there. It is a commercial product and fairly new and of course I can't think of the name. Try a search at some of the bigger payware sites and have a looksy. ;)

Program is actually FSNet, details herehttp://www.gates.to/It was free for quite some time while in Beta but now is payware.Currently it only works fully with the default aircraft although according to the site there is an MD-80 in development that will work with FSNet.While in Beta I tried it a couple of times and it was a great experience and looked forward to the more complex aircraft, such as Concorde & Ready for Pushback 742 working, unfortunately that will not happen.

yes, FSNet is now fully compatible with the best addon aircraft on the market: MDMAX!Details at: http://gates.to and http://www.mdsuper80.com/=)
