April 12, 20179 yr Hey Dave, Found another wonky flight plan bug. Flight was KDEN to KDTW. WYNDM HCT OBH J100 DBQ BAE is the flight plan. When I went to add airway J100 to the plan, I was able to select it and the transition but it created about 50 additional waypoints that zig zagged all over the US like the previous error you fixed out of KMCO. My first official use of the Airway adding system was a failure. T_T Sad Panda. I took a screen cap if you need to see it but I am late for work! Cheers! April 12, 20179 yr Commercial Member When adding an airway, the waypoint you start with is the entry waypoint. You then select the airway and the desired exit waypoint and P2A fills in all the waypoints in between on that airway. You might have to use multiple airways to get a more direct route. If you email me the screenshot and details of what airway you selected and the entry and exit points, I'll see what I get. Thanks, Dave
April 12, 20179 yr Author Well I clicked on the OBH waypoint and then picked the J100 with the DBQ exit waypoint and it made the mess of waypoints. That should be the proper way of using Always in P2A right? April 12, 20179 yr Commercial Member Yes, that's the right way to use it. When I did it, the flight plan added TODDO JORDY CAPPR between OBH and DBQ. Seems to be OK on my system using V2211. Thanks, Dave
April 12, 20179 yr Author This was with the latest Aerosoft 1704 Cycle. I e-mailed you the screen cap of the results I got. TODDO JORDY and CAPPR are correct. I got those 3 as well with 15-20 waypoints in between each, zig zagging all over the US. April 12, 20179 yr Brian, FWIW, I just entered your route into P2A and got a normal routing without any of the anomalies that you experienced.
April 12, 20179 yr Author Thanks for the test Mike. I just did a brand new start-over flight out of KDEN again since my flight crashed yesterday with a corrupted Othro4XP tile which I fixed. Filed a new flight plan and it still went crazy. Is P2A's only source for planning data coming out of Aerosoft's AIRAC package or does it look at stuff in the simulator too? I am using X-Plane 11 for my flights, not P3D/FSX so maybe that has something to do with the reason I am getting funky results occasionally? April 13, 20179 yr Commercial Member P2A only looks at the NavDataPro database for this information. Have you tried doing the flight plan before you connect to the SIM? It shouldn't matter, but you never know....

It shouldn't matter, but you never know.... Yeah. I did. Still wigging out on this airway. I'll be doing a fully loaded flight tomorrow out of Detroit for Atlanta. I'll see if it goes bonkers during that flight planning.
