XP-11 new option in Installer, Update Scenery Online

Featured Replies

Today I noticed a new option in X-Plane Installer,  Update Scenery Online.

http://www.x-plane.com/kb/updating-scenery-x-plane-11/

But I did not find a list of modifications.
What is the main reason for a large download of 42 GB?

You need the X-Plane library installer by Tom Knudson. a link is given where the NZM file is located. Download the library installer, that will give you nearly every library that is out there. if not nearly all a whole bunch of them. LOL

Wrong installer 😁.

This Upton was there before the last beta. Laminar did a new cut of the default scenery, this option separates the scenery update from the x-plane update.  For example, it adresses high rise Buildings in Europe cities, adds missing tiles up north and corrects other mistakes in default scenery.

It is highly recommended.

  • not just in Europe but on the entire planet (at least as far as Openstreetmap based data supports this - where we have no useful data, we still do not show additional high-risers).

My apologies to this thread, this comment was supposed to go into the ISDG library post, I don't know how in the world it wound up in this post.

Thank you all, I have updated Scenery and I am satisfied. I can say that I rediscovered X-Plane 11, my old scenery was installed on 11/28/2016.
