FSUIPC Bindings

Featured Replies

I'm trying to set up some FSUIPC bindings with my Saitek throttle quadrants using a couple of the switches under the levers. What I would like to do is have the engine CUTOFF / IDLE levers under the 737 throttle levers bound via FSUIPC to switches but I can't seem to find the right description to select in the drop down menu in the 'Control sent when button pressed' section of FSUIPC.

Has anyone done this?

Many thanks in advance.

Guy Burton

I use this with some other aircraft. Not sure about the (I assume default) 737.

0=RY,21,C66636,5        -{THROTTLE2_DECR_SMALL}-
7=UY,21,C65972,0        -{THROTTLE2_CUT}-
8=RY,20,C66635,5        -{THROTTLE1_DECR_SMALL}-
9=UY,20,C65967,0        -{THROTTLE1_CUT}-

When moving the levers below the detent I continuously send *_DECR_SMALL, when back to the zero position I send *_CUT.

If you are talking about PMDG 737 the keys are predefinded and set via the CDU:

PMDG Setup - Options - key Commands - Control Stand 2/3.
There you'll find the key combos you can set to your joystick controls via FSUIPC - Buttons + Switches

I've never used FSUIPC for binding joystick controls, far too complicated and in my opinion just not necessary. You can use the propietary software from Saitek or even you can map your controls directly in the sim interface, as I normally do with my Thrustmaster FCS HOTAS in P3D with absolutely no issues and no potential sources of trouble.

Hi Andreas,

Yes it is the PMDG 737, and your advice has worked - mapping a button to a keyboard key press.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers...
