How close XP11 garmin gps to real one?

Featured Replies

Super,

What do you mean by same functionality? I am a RW pilot and found it very, very close to the real 430. Is there a specific function you are interested in?

The functionality is pretty close.  The look is farther off - the map and map items isn't great.  But it's better than nothing.

I have just started with X-Plane 11 and find the GPS lacking. It doesn't seem to display everything on the map that it should - notably water features and roads. This goes for the standard G530 and the G430 in the Carenado B58. The Reality-XP version I have in FSX shows these features and that's based on the Garmin simulator. Pictures of X-Plane 10 seem to show water and roads, so maybe it's a bug in XP-11. Unless someone can tell me how to turn them on :(
