I put two items in my cart yesterday, had no idea the cutoff was based on Australia time, went back to make a purchase today, and the sale was over.  I placed a ticket and 'support' person Richard has the audacity to tell me I had time to make a decision so would not honor the fact I had made a decision on May 30th by putting the items in the cart with the honest belief I had until today to complete the purchase.  This is classic Orbx hubris, presumably comes from their relative monopoly, and after spending literally hundreds of dollars with them they can't appreciate this and extend the offer to May 31st in my time zone?   Unbelievably wretched support for the people whose purchases made them what they are today.

You cant really complain when the sale lasted a whole month. It clearly stated the sale ended at 1pm Australian eastern time.  Just wait as they have several sales a year.

Sure I can--for the other 250 purchases I made thru online vendors last year not one involved a time zone, and I never saw comment to that effect.  This is just classic Orbx which starts at the top and filters sideways.   Most or all of the pieces I have purchased from them were full retail as their records would indicate so indeed, while I obviously waited a few hours too many this was clearly an honest mistake as I said--the items were in the cart while the sale was still happening.   You're right--NEVER again will I pay for another product from Orbx at full retail so ultimately, this is their loss.   I was lukewarm on the purchase and the sale caught my eye.  They're simply taking advantage of their monopoly, though it does not have to be this way, their attitude.  They easily could have granted me a simple waiver based on this honest mistake, but nope it is their sucky attitude which as I say, is 100% driven by the fact they see themselves as w/o competition.

I received several emails letting me know when the sale ended. I was waiting until the last day (for $ reasons) and thankfully noticed the "A" in front of "EST."

Oh well, it's their loss of my $$ as I won't be making any further purchases from them at their retail price ever again, something they didn't care to acknowledge by accommodating my request.  Screw them I hope they blow up, and that sentiment comes from several aspects of their attitude on their forum, not just this issue.  They were two pieces of software I was lukewarm on purchasing anyway, so no great loss for me, in fact I can thank them now for saving me some $$.
