Hi All,

Upgrade Parts -

Intel Core I7-7700K 4.20 GHz Socket 1151 8MB

Windows 10 Home 64-bit OEM

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB Kit DDR4 4266MHz RAM

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 4 Heatpipes/1x120mm Fan CPU Air Cooler

Asus GTX 1080Ti ROG Strix OC 11GB GDDR5X Graphics Card

A few questions regarding this upgrade!

Will the ANTEC 902 V3 Gaming case be okay with these parts?

What motherboard can take 4266Mhz DDR4? I am struggling to find one, that also includes WiFi.

Would anyone recommend any other GTX 1080Ti?

Will the AX750 handle the GTX 1080Ti?

Any thoughts, please let me know!

Asus maximus IX Apex if you want  4266mhz

I run my mems at 4133 c16 on IX Apex , think you have a hard time to find a WiFi board that can make over 4000mhz

I have a LAN cable, so it's not the be-all end it all.  Does this board only take 2 x 8GB sticks? (I see it says up to 32GB) but G.Skill comes in 2 x 8GB or 4 x 8GB right?

It take 2 x sticks the third slot is for 2 x M2 drives.

This sticks is the fastest with 32gb https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3866c18d-32gtzr

Hi Westman,

Ideally would like to do 4 ram sticks at 8GB each and at 4266MHz.  So 16GB then I'll upgrade my space to 32GB later this year.

Or the 4133MHz 4x8GB? Can any-board take that?

Not many boards do over 3800 mhz with 4sticks , even with 4 slot mobo you get problem to go past 4000mhz with 2x8gb.

The new x299 apex board can probably do it with a 7740k +4000 mhz 4×8gb

I'm doing pretty much the same thing. My research is leading my to believe I can get by just fine with a GTX1070 for P3Dv4 if I'm not driving a 4K monitor and staying with 1080p.

I'm going to wait for 4K monitor prices to come down from nosebleed levels.

Might save you some money for other parts.

Cheers.

So that'll be new technology and a lot more costly? I was just having a read and it's due out in 07/2017? I'm not sure to wait or not and build a PC that will last 5-7 years.

I was also suggested a 1070, but what model would work well for P3D v4?
