LatinVFR KSAN and KSNA in v4 elevation problem

Featured Replies

I followed the Orbx compatibility guide but when loading into KSAN and KSNA my aircraft is elevated way above the ground. I added the scenery in using the addon.xml method is that why?

Yes... yet another weakness of using the "recommended" .xml method.  Airport elevation/relocation .bgls must be located in the P3D\Scenery\World\Scenery folder (they are prioritized opposite of regular scenery .bgls).  In other words, the first airport altitude file that is read into the scenery takes precedence.

I looked and no KSNA or KSAN elevation bgls are installed by the p3dv3 latinvfr installer.

Then look in scenery/world/scenery and see if FTX Socal put in any elevation changes (orbx may have adjusted the airport elevation where LatinVFR did not).  If you see any related to KSAN or KSNA, try changing their extension to .bak and see if that helps.

There are no Orbx alt files. I am going to try to install directly into the v4 folder next time instead of using the addons.xml

All fixed the default flight was causing my elevation issues I removed the flights from my documents folder and p3d created a new default flight and now my elevation is back to normal. Not any issues loading in the LatinVFR airports it was user error.

Where can I get the new v4 compatible Latin VFR files?  I own SNA and SAN.
