This ought to make the new guys feel better and us vets remember. Tandy at the mall was the ONLY place to buy a computer. IIRC I paid $2500 for a 16 mz with floppies to fly the 19 on a tiny monitor. Then I saw where if you wanted the "enhanced graphics" which meant a few more lines", you needed a faster system. So back to Tandy for their flagship, fastest uber computer. A mighty 25 mz!!!! for only $3 grand. I recall the salesmen asking, "Why the hell do you need such a fast computer?

Back then flight sims were a developers flagship product and I remember a shelf was devoted to sims. Wing Commander was by far the "It can't get no better than this" as I switched out floppies before every dialog,landing and worst, every dog fight.

This one has run aground - locking it down.
