Runtime error Little Navmap v 1.4.4

I got a runtime error (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library) when building  a dtabase for the scenery library. It stops at 72%. I have tried to set the current bgl file to off but next time I run it stops att nebt i bgl file in the same folder. Earlier verions of Little Navnap hve not stoped at this file.

Any suggestions?

Hi Thomas,

that sounds familiar. Are you using LNM 1.4.4 and P3D v4?

There was a bug that looked similar which appeared after P3D v4 hotfix 1 and LNM 1.4.3. This was fixed in 1.4.4.

The problem can also appear if the scenery library contains any files that were compiled with P3D v4 SDK.

Hi Alex!

Thats right. I´m using P3DV4 and LNM 1.4.4. Is there any solution for the problem. The scenery files in the current scenery are not compiled with P3DV4 SDK. It´s a pretty old scenery for Sweden. Is there any way to ecxlude a scenery folder for the scan in LNM.

You can exclude the folder if it crashes always at the same file: Menu "Tools" -> "Options" -> tab "Scenery Library Database". Add it to the upper list.

The error I know of was "moving" when people excluded folders. When they excluded one folder the program crashed with the next one.

Can your send me the offending BGL? You can find that in the log file.

I'm getting this error too using P3D4 with the hotfix

Caught exception: NOT NULL constraint failed: scenery_area.title Unable to fetch row. SqlQuery::exec(): Error executing query. The above is from the log, although the error message that appears when building the database relates to Flightbeam KMSP/ Flytampa Montreal and Tampa.  Excluding only moves the error to another BGL

Hi Belinda,

make sure you have a name set if you use the add-on.xml method to add sceneries. I'll fix LNM to generate a name if it is missing.

All have names except those added by the scenery packages themselves the old way. So the sceneries producing the error are the sceneries in the .cfg file, not added using the XML method with the Lorby Addon organiser.

I deleted some of the FlyTampa sceneries using the organiser then added them back in again with the XML method and the error moved on to the next FlyTampa or Flightbeam scenery not added using the organiser.  Hope that makes sense :biggrin:

I unticked Read P3D add-on xml packages then using the 1.4.3 way with Lorby Export library for external tool method, finds all the airports okay.

strange that is. The error message shows that either the "title=" in the scenery.cfg or the <name> in a add-on.xml file is missing.

I just checked my code and found that all entries with a missing name or title are ignored and should not produce an error.

Can you send me your scenery.cfg by email (see about dialog)? Please zip it up to avoid encoding changes.

I have exactly the same problem but using LNv144 on FSXA. It's never happened with previous versions of LN and with the same scenery addons. Sorry I can't send you my log file as I don't know where it's located on my rig but can do that later, if required.

So far I've tried to reduce the number of chars in folder names but it didn't help. But then I reverted the scenery folder name back since I had the same folder name with previous version of LN, so I don't think this is a problem associated with long folder names. Here is the pic with error message:

Hi Victor,

in Thomas' case there was an older scenery containing some FS9 BGL files (Swedflight). You can try to exclude some suspicious scenery or ...

... try this development version which should fix it: LittleNavmap-20170710-1435.zip
