Water Needs Corrected

Featured Replies

Water water water....   when O when are we going to get realistic water COLORS (COLOURS)...  I'm really annoyed when flying over nicely crafted land only to have the immersion blown away with HIDEOUS unnatural looking BRIGHT SOLID INK STEROID BLUE water everywhere  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY does no one do something about it ?

Plenty of options for you to change that, with various texture packages and PTA.

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

... can you advise on any -  products / options / texture packages -  that satisfactorily change the water colour(color) to a more natural simulation...

I have PTA and that doesn't seem to change it....

ok, I use Orbx and ASCA/AS16 also PTA (Matt Davis profile).

Is Envtex compatible with the above? can I use it to only 'fix' the water ( I agree with OP, the blue patches of water look super unrealistic and stand out like deep blue polished high gloss plastic surfaces)

Yes. Envtex and PTA are compatible. You can even choose it in the ENVTEX menus :-)

works perfect together.
