I have no idea whether this design approach (and there are others) will work in anything but FSX

I subsequently installed Water Roberts' JY43 Hill Top Airport NJ in P3d V4 and it works perfectly. Wow, I had forgotten what a nasty airport that is.

My instructor used to make me into an airport up there to practice soft field landings...not sure if that was the one.  It was along the top of the hill...you couldn't see the other end of the runway when starting roll and then you'd come over the top of the hill and see the rest of the runway.  Gliders all over the place.  I did not like that at all.
