July 25, 20178 yr Searching through old threads, it doesn't seem taxiing has been discussed much lately. Anyone have any new ideas on how best to do this in RadarContact. I'm new to the program. I see there is a program called fsx dbs airport gps. Does anyone like this program? It doesn't seem to be widely used at this time. What alternatives are there. Where do I turn FSX atc back on for progressive taxi? Any help is appreciated. Best, Matt
July 25, 20178 yr dbs airport gps has very poor support from it's developers I use Fscommander running on a very old laptop networked via WideFS which when zoomed in gives me a very good top down view of my aircraft position.
July 25, 20178 yr Moderator I use Electronic Flight Bag for finding my way around airports. That's payware. Or there is an excellent freeware map called Little Navmap. https://albar965.github.io/ Turn off progressive taxi and the default Ai, it's dreadful. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 26, 20178 yr Author Little NavMap looks great! Does the moving map work within FSX fullscreen mode? For example, could I have the moving map working on a dual monitor setup while running FSX in fullscreen? Thanks!
July 26, 20178 yr Moderator I don't know Matthew but if I was guessing I'd say yes. Download it and try. The author has a support sub-forum here in the Freeware section. I run it on a separate PC. Do you have an old machine around? If so then buy WideFS and you can have the ideal setup. Ray (Cheshire, England).
