There is also an option in FSUIPC to limit or turn off icing.

its in summer as well, im using active sky 6 with sp3. it although happens when i use fs9 weather. when i change the aircraft during flight the malfunction is not on the new aircraft but when i switch back its still there on the "old". its really a wierd problem. i already had that on my last fs9 install ( reinstalled win xp too, so it was a very clean install ).my guess is that its one of my addons causing that problem, maybe some addon plane replaced some standard gauges or modified some general config files.

Icing can happen in any season if you are at a high enough altitude. If you have ActiveSky, try disabling icing. Just click the "prevent all icing" option.
