V4 night flying

Featured Replies

Hello,

Recently tried some night flying. Noticed that when I load sim (no matter what aircraft, third party or P3d planes) that my frames start around 2-3 fps. Then after I switch views, they come up to 30-40. I have dynamic lighting on. Use orbx global and vector. Anyone have an idea what might be causing the frames to be so low to start?

Try without Dynamic Lighting. If that cures the problem turn back on and reduce AA. Try starting in afternoon just before lights come on and see if problem exist. I bet it's those lights though they kill me when I look at certain areas of the airports. If I turn away all if fine again. I have since reduced AA to 2MSAA due to this.

Will try without dynamic lighting. Running 4msaa. Have a 4k Monitor. Will try 2msaa

I have experienced this too and if you pan around the FPS will go back to normal.  This happens at the gate with all the aircraft lights off as well so it may have to do with the other dynamic lights at the airport (??).  This problem has been reported on the P3D forums as well.
