August 1, 20178 yr I'm running ASCA+ASP4 with 256 textures for my clouds and I find it looks nice... I think anything over 512 for clouds is overkill and will definitely have an impact on performance. I also am interested in ENVTEX/PTA combo as most people here have, but I'm not exactly sure what ENVTEX would do as I already use ASCA for my cloud textures. What do you guys use ENVTEX for mostly? Is it like a REX TextureDirect replacement? It's just that ASCA has to "see" AS16 running. It worked for me. Best regards, Jim Thanks for the response. I'll try it that way. So the inference is that AS16 and ASP4 are one of the same which I did not realise. Regards Brian
August 2, 20178 yr Moderator Just remember, because people still mix them up - ASP4 is for P3DV4 and AS16 is for P3DV3,FSX - ASCA for both. Once you get them ( asp4 or as16 and ASCA) all you need to do is start ASP4 or AS16 and it will autostart ASCA - then start the sim. When you start asp4 or as16 first and it starts asca, it will auto close asca when you close asp4 or as16. If you start ASCA first and then ASP4 or AS16 you will have to manually close ASCA when you exit ASP4 or AS16. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
