Lockheed Electra

Have to say I like the default Lockheed Electra. It's the Just Flight version, and it has very good graphics, especially in the VC, and just about everything seems to work. The systems modelling seems functional for the most part.  What I don't particularly like is that from the cockpit, the aircraft seems "dead": there is no vibration from the two big rotary engines, and when you land you never hear the landing gear contacting concrete. But it is after all free so guess I shouldn't complain that it could be even better.

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

Once A2A get their Accu-Feel working for P3D4 then this might provide the realism needed for this plane. I know I loved it in the other sims.

Sorry to bring back this thread but my question is bang on this topic. I have just installed P3D and really like the default Electra as well, but some things do not seem to function like I heard they are supposed to. For example, the yoke is supposed to be click removable but is not. And the avionics - no way to turn them on without hitting switches I wouldn't be pressing in the real thing - otherwise the radio and avionics stack is dead. These are two deal breakers for serious flying, so I am wondering whether the payware version addresses these problems and that P3D just received an early or "light" version? This is P3D version 4 for what it is worth - maybe it was updated for version5.

Sorry... not much I can say re: this one, usually LM would update the plane just the required amount to function in it's release (pretty much like every other third party).

But there are quite a few freebees out there, like the MilViz collection and the Aeroplane heaven collection plus a few others if you're interested.

And there is the Manfred Jahn C47 which is pretty good, you could even include GCA if you wanted.

I had bought a few of the Milviz when I ran FSX and really liked the Beaver and Bobcat. I also had the 737 but I think that one was let down by the cockpit graphics - looked very 2004-ish. I have downloaded the PC6 to try but that only works under version 5. Does anyone have the user manual for the Electra? I wish P3D had included it. I don't understand why they include these aircraft but deny the user the manuals. I might even buy the Electra just to get the extra liveries and user manual!!
