I'm currently using Active Sky with ASCA

Featured Replies

I would like to try rex texture direct with soft clouds which I already own. As I understand ASCA does not overwrite the clouds textures in the sim folder. If so this means I can just install the textures from rex and run AS without ASCA. The reason I would like to experiment with this is because I would really like to see how thunderstorms look without ASCA.

In ASCA settings --------> Uncheck all the Sky colors, Cirrus, Cloud Textures, Cloud structures.

So it really is this easy. I'm gonna give this a proper test tonight to see which clouds look better.

Cheers.

I let ASCA do Sky colours as it does a great job. I  use REX Clouds and Soft clouds -------> Uncheck, Cirrus, Cloud Textures, Cloud structures.

Do you have any screenshots? By not letting ASCA draw clouds do we loose any features. I love how ASCA creates these big anvil's in storms, but I hate how they look like a popcorn.

Yeah I was disappointed in ASCA clouds so I got Rex Texture Direct and Soft Clouds. Further, I like Rex's sky texture choices as well. The loss is being able to use the 'full dynamic' feature of ASCA.
