March 3, 200620 yr if they let me click on the basic buttons in the VC without opening up a 2d panel, I'd agree with you.
March 3, 200620 yr I completly agree, I've loved CS from the beginning. Nobody does photo-real textures like they do. I feel that after the release of the C130 they seem to have gotten their act together.Regarding the release of the 757, alot of simmers out there are quite happy with a "dumbed down" version of a complicated aircraft. They have niether the time or ambission to pour through 100's of pages of a manual. Therefore CS has made a simpilar version for those how prefer to jump in start the engines and go and for those hard core smmers (me included) WE'LL HAVE A BEAUTIFUL NEW 757 IN A FEW MONTHS. BTW, check out the videos on the CS website. I was blown away.Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800SE Asus Motherboard1.5 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg
March 3, 200620 yr I'll admit the potential is here to be a really great add-on... I like the VC as well although I don't share your optimism concerning performance (you take PMDG's 744 and here you have a light add-on requiring a 3.0gig processor).I hate the way the overhead in the VC as its static when looking up at it and I haven't gotten the ILS to work right. Pitot Heat just flat out doesn't work on my end...Overall this could be a great package indeed and I still have faith that the final product could be quite good. Feedback needs to be given to CaptainSim if the final version is ever going to live up to what it could be. People all too often equate constructive criticism to slamming a product. At this point the CS 757 has allot of room to grow and could have been better in this first go around. Let's see what they do with it now that people have had a chance to play with it. You help no one by keeping silent about obvious issues that still could get addressed before the final version hits the market...:-)
March 3, 200620 yr Can someone please answer my question! Will the 'Pro' package have a fully clickable VC cockpit??If so I will consider buying it..
March 3, 200620 yr I've been able to click the VC and manipulate switches without opening up the 2-D panel. I appreciate Alex's comment and second his opinion.Overall I too like the CS757, even in the present sort of block stages.
March 3, 200620 yr I haven't managed to even find the pitot heat...can you point me in the right direction?? Thanks, Craig
March 3, 200620 yr Well then perhaps it is working. I took a flight in snow, sleet, and rain yesterday from KLGA to KPIT and it certainly had to be icing conditions. Had no problem at all.
March 3, 200620 yr I can't imagine it not being fully clickable in the full version, after all the Hercules is, so should this be able to be started from cold & dark in the VC only. Roll on Block F I say.

OK then, try turning on the battery, try turning on or off the landing, navigation, strobe, beacon, taxi, etc light switches on the overhead panel. nothing works without a 2d panel popup
March 3, 200620 yr Actually Al the taxi and landing lights work with a simple click but that's about it for the overhead...
March 3, 200620 yr After grilling a friend who bought it, down MSN Messenger, I can add the APU switch to the (short) list of things that work on the overhead.I won't be getting it. I'll wait and see what happens next.Ian P.(Edited to add: Apparently when starting the APU, there's a loud APU starting noise, but that's about it... Which is what I'd expect from a package that doesn't include the technical side yet, but even down a phone, that APU is loud... ;-))
March 3, 200620 yr OK so there are a few switches that work...now has anyone figured out how to get the VC "dark" at night with only backlit gauges?
