P3DV4 HT on vs off

Featured Replies

Hi simmers.

Tried out some new CPU configs after Robs experience.

I7-4770K@

4.7 HT OFF 1.25V 55-70C

4.9-4.7-4.6-4.6 HT OFF 59-80C

4.7-4.7-4.5-4.5 HT ON C 60-95C

4.8-4.7-4.6-4.6  HT ON 88-104C

Clearly not  a work day basis but I manage to test at ORBX FTX NZ NZQN with ultra texture resolution. Seems that FTX NZ is not that high in terms of resolution. Stayed around 3.8GB. But All cores was working including virtuals?

I Think the terrain was more crispy with HT ON.

Thanks Michael Moe

I'm kinda confused what your getting at with your findings.  I find my system runs smoother with HT on.

Thanks. Maybe rather a everybody know post but I was thinking that if temp rises it clearly had some impact on the performance in P3DV4. If they optimised it for all cores including virtuals it should be down that road I was focusing.Maybee I need to lower some cores but I could benefit from it perhaps using more cores

Thanks Michael Moe
