With the only option being weather themes, how can one get current winds for an airport? I know it’s snowing... but which runway should I use?

The only options I know are to listen to ATIS, or press Shift-Z to see wind direction

 

Atis listen near the arrival airport is the most realistic way to know the runway in use in the simulator... with other way you risk to meet counterside ai aircrafts. When making flightplan look and study the different approach possibilities to be able to react quickly in your cockpit. 

Before take off, normaly we must loading a approach after the reading of the mettar but we never activeted this step before the listening of arrival atis.
