Program Update Via Operations Center Fails

Featured Replies

When I go to the Notifications page of the OPCTR, I have the following:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3XfUg8sy1RAT0swQnJ2dkRXZWc/view?usp=sharing

The Change Log associated with the 777 update looks like this

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3XfUg8sy1RAVGx4X2pBaFgzZ0E/view?usp=sharing

After selecting (777) Install Update and OK, the update appears to run in a command prompt box, and then the update notification disappears.

However, when close the OPCTR and then restart it, the same notification has returned.

Does this mean that the update has failed?

If so, how do I troubleshoot/correct the problem?

PS: The same sequence of events occurs when I tried to install the 737 update also shown in the notifications displayed in the first image above.

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the PMDG forums.  Please note their rules require our full names on all posts.

The most common problem with failed updates is caused by AV software.  That is a good place to start troubleshooting.

Can you tell be what you mean by "AV software"? I'm not sure what the "AV" means.

Thanks,

The AV is the Antivirus.

I can't really help much with your issue, sorry. I just wanted to say that AV means Antivirus.

Good idea; tried disabling my AV software, but no change. Still get the notification of a required update after running the install routine.

What version does the version page report that you have?

Assuming you are referring to Defender, the Version Info reads

Of the aircraft, please.

OC > Select the 777 in the drop down > Version

That solved the problem.

Thank you, Kyle
