How to Request direct to next waypoint

Featured Replies

If I miss a way point because of some unforeseen problem how can I ask for a permission to go to my next way point on my flight plan. The speech assistant only gives you a hint on how to ask for a "direct to airport".

You should be able to say something like:

<CallSign> request clearance direct to Alpha Kilo Alpha Foxtrot" where AKAF is the identifier of the waypoint in your flight plan that you want to go directly to from your current position.

If you get the clearance, ATC now expects you to follow a path directly to that point and then resume your normal flight plan after that.

I see my error. I was pronouncing my waypoint where instead I should have spelled it in a phonetic alphabet.

Thx

Hi,

Is there a way to do this without voice commands? I.e, by typing it into the text box and using the SayIt button? I've never figured out a way of using SayIt to request altitudes or waypoints.... can't seem to get Pilot2ATC to recognize the text I type into the box as opposed to the default text that comes up using the prompts.
