April 3, 200620 yr Ok, I'm looking to to what I call a 'mid-way' upgrade to my DC's & MD's. I'm not one for the 'full blown' MadDogs with the FMC's & other eye candy, I just want something simple, because I already have sounds & panels I like.I just want to hear from JCA owners as to how they feel about the planes they've purchased, and how they comapre against the SGA ones I already have (are the JCA FDE's better, etc?).The one thing I have noticed with my SGA's was that BOTH the DC's and the MD's started to make the 'spoiler extended' light come on in a random fashon after they came out with the service update, and that gets quite annoying to see on the panel...Thanks in advance,Scott
April 3, 200620 yr I would get the jca model if your into eye candy, they are really a great group of guys that give great support and are very down to earth. Their planes handle very well and look stunning. The best combo I believe is the JCA model with the MDMAX panel, both top of the line products for their league.
April 4, 200620 yr I have the JCA DC-9s as well as Flight 1's Iron Knuckles DC-9. I also have a pot full of the SGA DC-9s. I think they're all very comparable. The only complaint I had about the payware versions were the turning radius. I guess I was used to SGA's shorter radius, so I shortened it for the payware and have been happy as a cow in clover ever since. You really can't go wrong buying the payware aicraft or, for that matter, sticking with only SGA. How's that for walking the fence?Bob
April 4, 200620 yr I just purchased the JCA MD-80 series last Thursday night and have been extremely impressed with the model. I've had the SGA model for sometime now but the level of detail with the JCA birds is awesome. Also, I'm using Lonny Payne's new MD panel from Eaglesoft. It's incredibly detailed and models the major systems, also includes an almost fully functional FMC. Blake
April 4, 200620 yr While he JCA stuff is very good, my personal opinion is that the SGA models are better. Hornit
April 4, 200620 yr Suggest downloading JCA's free B717 to get an idea of their quality. Their MDs are same quality and handling.Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
April 5, 200620 yr Look at that, an online company that makes available a free product for download so end users can evaluate their work. What do you call that, ballsy, honesty, see for yourself kinda thing? I wish more companies could afford that.Good for you JCA !
