November 19, 20178 yr Dear flightfriends, Newbie to NGX 737 and jetplanes in general here...... Last week I have been setting up my NGX 737 in p3dv4 combined with FSUIPC and LINDA. I want to use my Thrustmaster Throttle/CH eclipse Yoke and VKB Rudder pedals as controls. I got a bit stuck yesterday in trying to set up Linda and the NGX profile that is available. Is that Linda profile also directly usable for my hardware or do I have to set up the controls myself. I'm a bit confused about the NGX Linda profile and what it can exactly do for me. I mean, are there command directly binded to my Throttle or do I have to assign them myself. If so, what is the use of using Linda in the first place? Is there someone who has a Warthog throttle profile for Linda that I can use. I'm having enough trouble in learning the ngx 737 allready ;) Is there some kind of overview of essential NGX controls and the best way to configure them to my warthog? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks Jozeff
November 19, 20178 yr Hi Jozeff Welcome to LINDA. I can understand your confusion. LINDA only works with joystick device buttons. All axes (aileron, elevator, rudder, throttle) need to be set up in FSUIPC5 (recommended) or within P3Dv4 controls. November 19, 20178 yr Jozeff, Have you already setup LINDA with the module for B737NGX which you can find here? The manual can be found here, a tutorial on how to upload a module can be found here. I can only advise you to take the time reading this manual. Once all is set as it should be it's time to map functions to your Hotas. I understand you have the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS? Anyway, either hardware will do the job. At page 27 of the manual you find an example of how to map functions to a button. And that is individual and different for everyone. If i use button 1 for TOGA, you prefer button 2 for TOGA, etc... So an individual profile from another one will not help you mutch further. Moreover, by mapping the functions yourself you will faster mastering your aircraft. Just take your time to set up Linda and your hardware. If any more question you simply come over here...
