You are lucky to loose just a few fps with pop outs. Somehow it always seems to have a huge effect for me in MSFS and x plane as well. The benefit of glass out is that I can keep my main screens clean and my laptop takes care of pop outs and other software. As far as I know only touch screen buttons work like gtn750, a2a Comanche tablet etc. Pmdg737 cdu needs a keyboard or pushable buttons to function properly. Cheers Joseff

Have been playing around with Glass Out for nearly 2 months and I must say it is very good. Installed it both on my laptop and Android tablet and works most of the times. The occasional lost connection and a couple of times my gtn750 was not responding on the tablet. I reinstalled GO and no problem since. The wifi in my mancave is not the best so that could cause connection problems ofcourse. The largest benefit of this software is that it causes zero frame loss. I have been struggling for years in MSFS loosing 20-30% fps with pop outs. Also CTD with pop outs and reshade. Combined with Air Manager this piece of software was exactly what I was looking for. I've bought many many addons over the years for a lot of sims. The main problem is that after flying VR a couple of years I cannot force myself to finish one singe flight on my triple screen setup. I had so many trouble keeping my system stable causing me to spend a lot of time troubleshooting back in the day with vr. Sometimes I buy a new add-on to scratch the itch but it never satisfies me longer than a couple of hours. The thought of being locked in my mancave and looking at a screen just never leaves my head. Everyone has different reasons to purchase add-ons ofcourse. Happy flying everyone!

Despite the flaw I like the questions. I've been seriously simming since 2011 (when FSX was suddenly on sale) and more seriously ever since (from single screen and Microsoft sidewinder joystick to quad 4k TV's and throttle/stick/yoke/pedals/VR/laptop/ etc.). Less serious simming happened between the early 80s on our C64 and via Amiga500 to 386/486/pentiums and amd's when I occasionally flew jet fighters, c172 or Learjet using my keyboard😀. I've been running triple screens for a couple of years (9700k , 2080s). All screens at 1080p is pretty smooth but objects in the distance are blurry and text on cockpit screens is horrible. Middle screen at 2k and outer two at 1080 is ok for simple ga aircraft and not too complex stuff. Since a couple of weeks my instruments are running on an ultra wide connected to a laptop with Air manager and GlassOut providing all instruments, screens and gauges. I've created an outside view for the triple screens and this allows me to enjoy the environment, have steady 30fps and have all instruments in front of me. I must admit that running 1080 on a 4k display is not ideal. Somehow my old 1080 native screen looked sharper. 4 k is a no go for me and fries my GPU/CPU. My 2080s is 7 years old but with current prices I guess this will be my flying experience for at least a couple of years.

Pmdg 737 and A2A Comanche. Combined with Active Sky, auto fps tool, Axis and ohs and my Stream Deck software. That's it. Nothing else needed😎

I will try this with the Comanches tablet. It would be very useful for the GlassOut screen to stay responsive even if the tablet is closed. It would also be great if the gtn750 could be used via my Android tablet while having the old school radio configuration. Not sure if that's possible at the moment.

Sounds not too promising to be honest. I've been a happy active sky/hifi user for more than 15 years and quite happy with it. Never had any problems with it and it was always well worth the money. Sounds pretty logital to me that they charge money for weather engines for multiple sims. I mean it's a completely different piece of software, takes a lot of time to code and make it work flawlessly. Made the mistake to invest in other weather progams than AS and will not do that again in the near future. Let's see where this goes.

Well, I tried GlassOut this morning for couple of hours and I must say it worked flawlessly for the G1000 panel, Comanche engine panel and tablet and radio panel, allmost all pmdg737 screens etc. Combined with Air Manager this is amazing. Going to buy this for sure. I have sim PC with triple monitor setup and a laptop with an ultra wide screen attached. Installed GlassOut on both PC's, very fast response and easy to set up. For the first time in 5 years I managed to show g1000 panels on the ultra wide without fps drop from 33 to 18. Very promising software! Cheers Jozeff

This looks very promising. I've been using air manager for years on msfs PC /laptop with large 2nd screen connected. Never managed to have the g1000 screens appear on my second pc (laptop) via network, only on my primary sim PC. Since using msfs the pop out panels have been a nightmare because my 2019 setup just seems to manage the triple screens I have. Tried a second GPU, on board GPU, Spacedesk to connect a 4th screen for instruments only but all solutions decrease the fps to almost single digits. I'll keep an eye on Glass out. Cheers Jozeff

Ok, thanks for explaining. I'm not very familiar with that stuff so I'll dig into it. For me a c172 is a c172 but I understand that is a huge simplification of the reality 😁. It's just amazing what creators like Bagolu can achieve and bring to the community. Have a nice day!

Tnx! I tried pop out manager a couple of times but as far as I know it only remembers where to put your panels where you left them or where you saved their position. It does not send pop out panels to screens so the g1000 still has to be rendered by your main game PC. My goal is to take some load of the gpu and use the CPU of my laptop to render the extra screen and panels.

Thanks. Air Manager cannot display the G1000 panels, these have to pop out in msfs and dragged to a screen. It only provides the bezels and knobs. If I purchase Air Player for the laptop then what would be the benefit over Spacedesk that's the actual question. So my options are: 1. Ad my laptop as an extra screen with Spacedesk and drag the panels to that screen with air manager. 2. Install air Player on my laptop and let air manager send the panel to the laptop screen via wifi. I'd like to have some info before purchasing Air Player for 36 euros to find out it doesnt really help. Thanks! Jozeff

Hello fellow flight friends, I have a triple screen setup(msfs2020) and used to run Air Manager for my fourth screen but my 2080s GPU seems to struggle a lot with 4 screens attached so I gave up for a while. Decided to give my laptop and another large monitor (connected to it) a chance to act as 4th and 5th screen. Running Air Manager on my sim PC (ethernet) and attach the laptop (wifi) via Spacedesk gave good results for a C172 steam gauge panel but the G1000 pop out panels took away about 20-30% fps. Would it be of much benefit to purchase Air Player and install it on the laptop and ditch Spacedesk? My goal is to have both G1000 screens on a large screen attached to my laptop to ease the load on my game rig. Thanks for any insight! Cheers Jozeff

Thanks for the info. Appreciated. I not interested in the PS5 perse (my son thinks otherwise 😉) but I gave up on VR after owning a rift, rift S and Reverb G2. Would really like to try msfs2024 on the PS5 headset some day. I've spent 80% of my flight time (between 2016-2022) tweaking and troubleshooting, especially the original Rift.... I use reshade/nvidia filters to get rid of the ugly washed out scenery in the first place. I wonder if there is a shader available that only tweaks this phenomenon. Flying in evening or late afternoon looks a lot better but in broad daylight it's as if the ground is fluorescent or ☢️. I know it has something to do with eye adaption. When looking at interior brightness increases and the outside view is less bright also. But looking through the window from within the cockpit is awful. My triple monintor setup does not help either.. the main monitor looks ok but the window vieuws in side screens are ugly as hell Thanks Jozeff

Dear flight friends, I know this has been a discussion in the past but since a couple of weeks I've given reshade another chance because the nvidia filters app kept crashing. In broad daylight the scenery looks extremely bland and dull from within my Pmdg 737. The outside view is a lot better. Tried a lot of reshade settings and plugins but with very little result. I also use Rex Atmos which helps in some situations. Compared to P3D and xp12 it looks like a bucket of bleach is spread over the surface. Is there another way to make the scenery look less dull in msfs 2020? Any suggestions would be welcome. Tnx Jozeff

Mixed feelings about this. The green screen sublogic days were expensive that's for sure but the cheap hardware days a couple of years ago are also gone. I bought almost top of the line GPU, processor, and ddr4 in 2019 for about 1300 euros. I'm afraid comparable stuff would be more than 3000 today. Msfs has been running fine on my system for 5 years so I'm not complaining too much either.

Absolutely agree 👍 All these headsets have about the same fov as the Rift I bought in 2016. Owned the Rift S and Reverb G2 after that but I gave up because I just wanted to fly and not spend hours and hours configuring and adjusting things. A wider view headset could pull me back in the VR world Since 2022 I'm running three 42 inch monitors which is a luxury in itself but I surely miss the immersion of the headsets every day...

Question: does DLSS currently work in a triple monitor setup? Tried this a couple of years ago but it did not work, onlyy middle monitor was effected. Thanks a lot! Jozeff

Absolutely 100% agree with the video. I bought the 737 600 for about 35 € and it is one of the best purchases I've done in the last 25 years. it is stable and smooth. Just works .
