February 1Feb 1 I suggest following this video. It looks like what he says is: Log into nvidia app and download latest driver Set to "Use 3d Settings" in both places (otherwise your DLSS Swapper choices will not actually show up in the sim). Download new dlss and dlss FG files. You can click the small cog wheel in Swapper to read the text in msfs to see what dlss and presets you are using. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. February 1Feb 1 Author BTW, I have to take a screenshot of the text in lower left corner of msfs and then enlarge that image in order to read the text about which preset and files the sim is using. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. February 1Feb 1 I've found that since SU3 and most notably SU4 my FPS are through the roof and always stable and smooth. I am over trying to chase something I now think I don't even need. If it's working great why wreck it? I'm still on 591.44 and 310.4.0.0 Yes - I'm generally a great believer of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it!' also. Trouble is, until recently, mine was a bit broke. It was a bit broke in SU3 but a lot more broke in SU4. I fly VR so I am aware that, to an extent, that I deserve what I get - but I was starting to suspect that I was going to have to sell the family silver (again) and upgrade from my 4080 to some sort of 5-series GPU. So it was with a similar reluctance - and no great expectations - that I tried the DLSS4.5 / nVidia Smooth Motion combination that folks on similar Youtube channels had been lauding recently: And - with no exaggeration - had the biggest single improvement I have EVER had with one change. That one change has saved me a few $'000's - I see absolutely no reason now to upgrade my GPU. So I'm interested that there is yet another new driver; I'm grateful that folks like IslandSimPilot try these things out before we have to; I'm grateful to @Fielder for spotting it and raising it here... ...and based on that video, I am happy NOT to upgrade at the moment as the improvements don't seem to be great enough. And in that respect, fully concur with your view too @Max Kraus 👍 Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset
February 1Feb 1 Question: does DLSS currently work in a triple monitor setup? Tried this a couple of years ago but it did not work, onlyy middle monitor was effected. Thanks a lot! Jozeff

February 1Feb 1 Author The latest release 310.5.3 has minor graphics improvements, no big deal. As before, preset L has the best images but J and K have the most fps. M is in between and is the most popular. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. February 1Feb 1 Author The procedure is: use nvidia app to install the new nvidia graphics driver (or install it manually). Don't change any settings after that in nvidia app. In fact close Nvidia app (right click the icon in the windows taskbar system tray and exit the app). With the Nvidia app closed , use dlls swapper to chose the latest 2 dlls (310.5.3) and a preset of your choice. Note: you cannot install 310.5.3 with the Nvidia app right now, that is impossible. Probably soon you will be able to, but not yet. That's why a correct sequence is needed at this time. And is why I posted the video. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Even if I close it in task manager, ir reopens immediately (5 instances of it in fact). Not sure how you can close the Nvidia App. Edit - maybe it will close if I close the NCP first. You say L gives better image quality than M. Is this sure - I've seen opposing statements. In my setup, I cannot see a difference between L and M when using DLAA and FGx2. What' is the best way/situation to see what's the best quality? I'm not chasing for fps. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
