Parking brakes

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Since a couple of days even the parking brakes move up/down correctly using the mouse or CTRL .keys, the red windows "Parking brakes" on the button left is no more displayed.

The red windows is normally displayed when i use the pedal brakes or . key

This is a problem with GSX push back as it does always ask to remove parking brakes.

Many thanks for your help

Michel

The parking brake display is a P3D option.  The brake display is different from parking brake display.  Why is it GSX reminding you to release the parking brake a problem?

P3D parking brakes option is activated

For GSX, parking brakes is active even the parking brake is pushed or pulled and ask continuously to release the parking brakes.

Parking brake display works fine with the standard Mooney Bravo

This is a better problem statement than your originally provided.  GSX is probably seeing chocks the same as parking brake.  Make sure chocks and brakes are released for pushback.

I confirm, GSX doesn't see any difference between the parking brakes and the chocks.

And this is logical since the chocks system of PMDG actually uses the parking brake as a trick if I remember well .

You should always set the parking break and remove the chocks before you ask GSX to push you back. Then you will be fine. It easily gets confused with complexe addons if you add, remove, remove, add parking brakes or chocks. Set it up prior to GSX.
