Hello

I recently purchased the Dash 8, and am curious to what the aurasim EFB does ? It does not seem to be too expensive at $5 a year. Is it a browser based app, or does it activate something in the airplane too ? Other than calcualting V-Speeds, what other features does it have ?

Browser base apps. Calculates V-Speeds once the user specifies Airport, Weather, etc.  No other features...

I have it and it's kind of nice not having to manually calculate the speeds, but honestly it could probably be done by hand about as quick.

I simply use the speed cards that come with the Q400. They are precise enough for me.

Thanks for the info. I'm using the speed cards too. I guess its $5 saved for the FS2CREW addon.

This looks very interesting, and the fact that it work across a slew of aircraft is nice too ! Does it have a button control mode too or is it voice contol only ?

Voice only but you can start the flows and procedures by selecting them in the MCE window and then hitting the Test button and then it will go through your selected flow (before engine start, ect) for  you.

Its only voice-controlled but very flexible !

It's really a great experience for me to fly and talk with a 'real' copilot ;-)

Works with every plane and over 40 payware-planes are  specially supported !

This program is really worth a closer look....

 

I have downloaded the demo, but havent got around to testing it out.
