April 16, 200620 yr How does the latest patched version of this perform? Are the flt intruments as smooth as say Dreamfleets baron (xp)58?Systems modeling and failures? All commments appreciated. I enjoy this era of aircraft but just want to make sure it's up to what the avsim review says. Thanks. Dave
April 16, 200620 yr Dave,There's another thread were others are interested in knowing about this airplane, just as you are. By default, the airplane will want to load all the panels, and configuration windows. That could be a lot of memory required for some systems. There's a configuration option that allows that feature to be turned off. There's plenty of system symulations. For example, a cruise checklist item calls for Engine Synch. All the different vertical navigation modes of the MD82 of that era are modeled. They also have an interesting simulation of an ACARS unit where the Omega Navigation System depends on the ACARS unit to load flight plans. I just began to explore bird about two weeks ago, and I'm still finding things. It comes with an extensive 250+ page manual, which believe you can download before you buy. No FMC, no failure simulations, other than the ones I get into by my own mistakes. :) Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
April 16, 200620 yr Author It's actually an MD80, but I'll tell you, I've never seen such great frames in a VC before. There is an Avsim review on it, jsut check the front page. Great plane!Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
