Some minor issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

there are a couple of things which I hope can be corrected.

How can I train my F/O to pronounce ADIRS correctly, she always says something like "sdirs".

With the introduction of forcing MCE to stay alive, F/O says from time to time "ok" or something similar.

If this happens during a checklist run checklist gets stopped and I have to start again.

Besides some known problems with the FSL Bus COM-dialing is unreliable; sometimes it works

correctly, sometimes F/O dials incorrectly; like I say 132.95 F/O dials 132.85 or 132.90.

I run a "runway entry procedure" (took one from Charly and modified);

F/O challenges "state runway" I say "26 left", F/O continues "setting track 026" . I did not specify this

in my flow and it doesn't make any sense. How can I get rid of that answer?

Thanks for the help

Peter

I believe this depends on what TTS voice you're using. Some voices allow you to tweak the pronunciation. Look under "voice properties or settings"

Obviously won't have the issue with the recorded voices we ship.

Thanks,

where would I find that? I looked under my Cereproc TTS.

You need to check the 32 Bit voice allows editing settings

Do not use the accessible speech panel from Windows Control panel, as that one is 64 Bit

Go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX\ folder

Run "sapi.cpl" (this is the 32 bit SAPI panel"

Select the relevant folder and see whether the "settings" button is enabled.

If it is, you may be able to make adjustments, otherwise have no other idea or check with the voice maker.

Happy New year Peter.

Which Cereproc voice are you using and where is she stating "ADIRS"?

You may try typing it phonetically. They sometimes come out with odd speech and require odd solutions! "A dears"?

I usually reply "Runway twenty six left". Or just "twenty six".  Otherwise I either get ignored or she gets a bit confused..(too many Martinis over Christmas!)

Cheers!

Happy New Year,

unfortunately the settings button is not enabled. I am using Cereproc Katherine.

That's a good idea, Charly, I will try "a dears". I have ADIRS in my checklist as well as

in the cockpit preparation flow. Maybe I had too many glasses of wine over New Year

and can't make myself understandable:blink:

"A dears" as well as saying "runway 26L" worked well.

Thanks Charly

Hi,

coming back to a couple of points mentioned above.

- correct dialing of com frequencies

- flight controls check, all is fine until "rudder full right" ; aileron, elevator, "rudder full left" perfect and then nothing or just "rudder"

- speed (no reaction, sometimes pulling/pushing works, sometimes infinite dialing upwards)

- heading (sometimes works perfectly, sometimes no reaction)

- access to some flat switches

This is with the FSL Bus; I know this aircraft is a "beast" for you developers. Nevertheless I never fly the bus without MCE, it already

creates a nice flightdeck atmosphere and takes some burden away. Every even little improvement is appreciated.

Hi,

I made a video on what is already possible and as said already I love flying with my Copilot in the FSLabs Airbus.
