I recently purchased a powered USB hub for my Saitek Yoke, Rudder pedals and throttle system. I have the power supply for the yoke which powers the controller from the wall, however - I cannot get the yoke to connect to the computer when plugging it into the powered USB hub. Yes the hub is connected to the computer via USB, but the controller will not connect to the computer where as it does if I just plug it independently into the computers USB socket.

Any ideas?

I have a bunch of those kind of USB hubs and they didn't work good for me. I have allot of stuff to plug in and they all need lots of power so I asked the pros and this is what they suggested and I haven't had any issues since. For now I would plug the yoke into its own usb slot and not into a hub. Josh

I'll purchase the one you have now, hopefully that will fix any issues I am having. Thanks for your feedback!

I've had the Saitek Pro Yoke and two throttle quadrants for years and they've worked fine without the need for a powered USB hub. They don't need one as there's enough power in a standard USB port for them.

Although I don't have the Saitek rudder pedals (I use CH) I can't see that being a factor.

If the yoke works without a powered hub why not just use it that way? Only certain USB devices need extra power like GoFlight modules. But not Saitek.

I've had better luck using a powered USB 2 hub.  The saitek stuff seems to like usb 2 better
