January 15, 20188 yr Somehow, someway, I finally got a dual overcast sky while flying in P3D using SF engine. I tested both AS and REX engines and I have to say, the REX engine actually was more accurate in my opinion of real world conditions. Plus, it looks great. I did have a minor issue with the injection of weather where it took all my clouds out for one injection, but after reinjecting weather, it came back looking good as ever. Not sure why it took everything out. Shot is over Wichita, KS. Only thing that would have made it better is if the ground textures would have snow on them, like in real life. Bonus: Heading south from Seattle to San Francisco. REX SF is starting to grow on me. Some tweaks with the engine, and the software should be golden.
