PMDG B777 Crashing during preflight

Hello Everyone

I have posted about this before, thinking it may have been a scenery issue but it is clearly not.  My PMDG B777 crashes almost every time i do a longhaul flight during my preflight.  I got as suggested the app crash view programme and the following keeps coming up.  Can somebody please help as it is sooooo frustrating,

Holy molly, didn't need to post all that.  The BEX is a buffer exception, this is not an error that the PMDG module can be suspected of causing.  More likely has something to do with an addon, so the logical method would be to figure out which one might be to blame.  First make sure your FSDT Updater has been run recently if you have any FSDT or GSX.  Make sure your weather addon is current. Then eliminate such things as camera addons, traffic addons, etc., until you can do a preflight without a crash.

At least it is happening in the first few minutes of your session and not 4 hr into a flight.

What livery are you trying to fly the bird in? Have you modified it to read a different tail number, etc

(I ask as I was getting a crash at start of flight using a slightly modified livery based on an official PMDG one.)

While I am sure you are just trying to help, this is simply not true. I have no problems with any other add on aircraft apart from the B777 in exactly the same areas.  This is clearly a PMDG B777 issue.

Are you sure you have the latest version of the 777? Earlier versions had a known bug that caused the FMC to crash FSX during pre-flight.

 

Other than that I cannot imagine I'm afraid. If you're running the 737 NGX without probs then you can easily run the 777.

Sure, you say it is a PMDG B777 issue and all I can answer is okay.  I guess the fact that you are the only one reporting this problem with a product in use by many for several years is inconvenient and we will just ignore it.

Please post the fix when you have it.

You appear to have posted similar threads to this recently and you have been advised - more than once - to submit a ticket to PMDG.

Hi Dan I too have been running this programme since it was released with very few problems.  I can run the PMDG B737 and other add on aircraft with no problems through the entire area.  If it was a scenery issue or weather related or any other issue don't you think it would show up there too?  I think its a reasonable question to ask.  Do you have anything intelligent to answer that or any reason why I should suspect anything but the B777 under the circumstances?  The issue started occurring in November last year and i have spent many hours trying to find the issue.  To come up with some childish reply like your last is both uncalled for and condescending when you don't necessarily have any idea what you are talking about.

I will for the benefit of others reply if we can get the issue sorted.  I am a team player.

Jim I have been trying to find the reason i am having problems after having no issues previously - with i might add very little help or support from PMDG staff that frequent these forums.  I have in the last month downloaded a new installer and reinstalled just in case but to no avail.

Just for the record a support ticket was lodged yesterday so please do not question my motives again - it is uncalled for and inaccurate if you are thinking anything sinister.

Because they only provide support via the support tickets. They may see posts on the forums, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to respond to them, either. They've said this before.
