P2A not connecting to XP11.

Recommended Posts

This latest version of P2A will not connect to XP11. I've also had issues loading flight plans created by SimBrief and converted to the .FMS format loading in P2A. I get this line in the log when I try to import one of these flight plans. "Error in FltPlan ImportFromXPlaneFMSFile
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection."

I've been able to load a flight plan created from PFPX though. I've never run into this before.

Mike,

Must be something changed in your environment.  Hundreds of users have updated and not had problems connecting.  Here are the common connection issues you can check to see what might have changed:

1. XPUIPC installed in X-Plane Plugins folder or FSUIPC installed in FSX/P3D
2. Make sure you are running the latest version (2.4.0.4 as of this writing)
3. English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language
4. Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows
5. Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB.  Press the Save button.
6. Try running the program in Administrator mode by right clicking on the Pilot2ATC.exe file and selecting “Run as Administrator”
7. If connected but the radios aren’t working, check the Battery and Avionics switches on or the “Ignore battery” and “Ignore Avionics” options are checked in P2A Config
8. If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again.

If you could email me the .FMS file that won't import, I'll see if I can figure out the problem.  There were some changes in the import/export areas, so something might have broke.

Thanks,

Dave

Are you sure your ip address hasn't changed, and that you need to update it in the XPUIPC ini file?  That's usually my problem when I can't connect all of a sudden.

Ok, found out that if I ran it as an administrator it worked. The funny thing is, I used it on P3D the other day without an issue. Dave, I'm running 2.4.0.5. I'll send the .fms file so you can check it out.
