February 4, 20188 yr I'm just curious if anyone has been experiencing extremely slow downloads from SimMarket lately. I contacted there support and was told it was my ISP was problem. I informed them that 4 other users I fly with also report the same slowness. Each one of them is on a different ISP in the US so I don't think it's just my ISP. Before, I use to download from them super fast but now there download service is at a crawl. I use ATT 1Ghz Fiber and I get around 700 Mbs everywhere but on SimMarket downloads. February 5, 20188 yr I've always had slow downloads from them. That's using three different ISPs over the years. The only flight sim companies I get good download speeds from are PMDG and Orbx. Occasionally I'll get decent speeds from someone else, but simMarket is always slow. It's annoying, but it something I've come to expect when purchasing from them.
February 5, 20188 yr Looking at only the big shops; SimMarket has always been good average for me. Not top notch, but not slow neither. PC Aviator (US) have never been fast, but they have become abysmal recently, and I think your location or your ISP does not make a difference; it's really at PC Aviator. Just a tick better was FS PilotShop. Best download speeds I always received from the FligthSimStore, Orbx, Aerosoft and JustFlight. With the download reliability at PCA I am holding back on purchasing large addons from them momentarily; even if there would be a tempting sale ongoing.
