February 6, 20188 yr Hi there! For those of you, who want to give this great tool for XP11 a try, here are my settings. I tried to achieve a ceratin look, which works during day and night, and most wx situations, maybe you like it. ;-) I´m not using any post processing (Sweet FX, etc.), and all of my shots are completely unedited. When I use xEnviro, I don´t change the art controls additionally (xE changes a lot of art controls, according to the wx and time of day situation, including the ones I usually tweak manually). When I use stock weather, I change some of these figures, using the DataRef Editor. So here are a few shots with xEnviro (1.07), and a few others witout xEnviro (with stock wx and clouds, and tweaked art controls). First of all, here are my MaxxFX settings (small adjustments go a long way!): On the non xE pics, I tweak the following art controls: atmo_scale_raleigh: 23-26 (depending on mood, time of day...), inscatter_gain_mie: 5-8, inscatter_gain_raleigh: 7-9, scatter_raleigh_b(lue): 30-35, clouds_ambient_gain: 1.000000 non xE: with xE:

I am always in the process of tweaking these settings and figures, you know? :-) MaxxFX is a really powerful and handy tool!
February 7, 20188 yr Michael, because of you i did buy MaxxFX :) Really cool. Many thanks for sharing your settings! Regards Nils

February 7, 20188 yr Mike, Thank you so much for sharing this preset, its much much appreciated. Its really hard to find good MaxxFX presets on the web and you just solved this issue for me. Is it possible to share the preset file? You'll find it in X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/MaxxFX/UserEffects Itll be much better since fiddling with the sliders to match the screenshot of your settings is a bit tricky. Thank you again man!
February 8, 20188 yr Curious... the XEnviro user manual states that XE is incompatible with MaxxFX and having reinstalled it to test with XEnviro, I get a complete XP crash. How did you manage to get them working together?

How did you manage to get them working together? Really? I’ve never had any problems with using them together in countless XP10 flights, and now in XP11. I’ve never read the xE manual, I have to confess... ;-)

It can do everything BUT read." "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

February 9, 20188 yr Quick update - the crashing was caused by my incorrect install of MaxxFX. It's running fine right now with XEnviro (note to self: never read manuals unless as a last resort). I too would appreciate that UserEffects file. The sliders are much too fiddly to accurately replicate what Mik75 has done.
