C47/DC3 (Manfred Jahn) VOR display not working

Featured Replies

I'm sorry, I have nothing more.

The radios and gauges all work for me whichever way I start the aircraft.

  • 7 months later...

I observe the same problem.

After fresh start the aircraft RMI-needles work. But if I set the aircraft in cold&dark and start the engines again RMI-needles don't work.

You will find the gauge C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau in the

SimObjects\Airplanes\Douglas_C-47_Beta_V3.14\panel folder.

Rename the new dll to C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.dll and paste it into that folder.

Delete C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau.

The next time you load the aircraft, the sounds will all be back.

It does'nt work. After aircraft load I receive the message "Ppay Sound Failed" for all .wav-files at DGSounds-folder

I have had the VOR inop problem a time or two over the years. Turned out there was a conflict with my Master Battery Switch key and its assignment to another key or button.Go in and look very closely at all your key assignments to ensure one is not assigned to the Master Battery that you are not aware of.

Other times the battery simply is not on. Makes you feel real smart. Use the pop up windows Shift 2,3,4 to look over the status of your battery, generator etc.

Keep at it, you'll get through it. Worth the time!

Cheerio,
