February 14, 20188 yr After installing the update to Prepar3D v4.2 (uninstalling/installing client, content and scenery modules) MyTraffic 6 seems not to be working anymore. MyTraffic was installed in a previous version using Poppet's manual method and worked fine through all versions it was installed in to, except now for P3D v4.2. I checked if all settings were still OK and in accordance with what Poppet wrote in her "manual" and they are. Anybody else ran into this problem and found a workaround for it? February 14, 20188 yr Author Problem solved. It all was caused by a corrupted add-on.xml file. March 13, 20188 yr Hi Hans, Poppet's xml file has a small error in it. You probably need a back slash between MyTraffic and SCENERY. See my xml file below. MyTraffic in on my S: drive. Regards,Allan Roberts <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document id="add-on" version="4,0" Type="AddOnXml"> <AddOn.Name>MyTraffic6</AddOn.Name> <AddOn.Description>MyTraffic6.</AddOn.Description> -<AddOn.Component> <Category>SimObjects</Category> <Path>S:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft</Path> </AddOn.Component> -<AddOn.Component> <Category>Scenery</Category> <Path>S:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic</Path> <Name>MyTraffic\Scenery</Name> <Layer>114</Layer> </AddOn.Component> </SimBase.Document> instructions miss out a backslash between MyTraffic and Scenery. MyTraffic is on my S drive.

MyTraffic in on my S: drive. The backslash in the Name tag in the example above is superfluous and not needed--it is a text field used for display purposes by the scenery library manager in P3D. The '-' in front of several of the AddOn.Component tags looks problematic, however. This happens when you Copy the Tex directly from an add-on.xml file and do not Open it first, Example: Right click > Open with > Notepad Just to add to something here Regarding all Add On's using the add-on.xml file and setting them up Manually......... Some folks who set up there add-on.xml file manually and are 100% sure its correct and then realize the Add On in question Will Not Launch ! No "Enable" message Mostly Its down to a very small thing, the file is still saved as a Tex Document and not as a add-on.xml file, Please see This Post
March 14, 20188 yr Thanks Bob and Poppet. I am not a PC buff but I am interested in your comments. My Traffic did not work on my PC until I put in the "slash" and it works perfectly now. Regards, Allan R
