FPS issue with 4k RealLight textures

Featured Replies

Hi all. I found an issue where if you have 4K RealLight textures turned on then your fps is very very poor with GPU usage on 100% and RAM using 10gb. Now I have an i7 4790k and a GTX 1060 3GB. I would point the finger at the low memory of my Graphics card.

Probably the Vram issue, i'm looking to upgrade GPU too

But yes, this is the first addon that uses so much RAM, even without RealLight installed. Also, the BUS usagge is over 50% with my card, and with any other addon is less then 20%. But textures are just beautifully done... So i decided to go for more RAM and new GPU, since this will probably be my favorite addon from now on

Yea bloody miners making the prices going sky high. A 1070Ti wouldn't go a miss :D

1060 6gb here and similar observations.

The low tes option renders the text so blurry that it is totally unreadable.

medium setting is sort of ok....very mediocre quality but the high res option is such a frame guzzler that it’s completely unusable.

Yep exactly that. I believe they're adding the old style lights for users having issues.

Yeah, they seem to be nice chaps over at T-halFbaked-DI, but they are having difficulties in bringing their products to full, no issue, functionality.

I find, as I said, the medium setting to be an acceptable compromise, yet a compromise - nevertheless.
