Updated Hawaii Freeware Scenery Objects

Featured Replies

The excellent Honolulu scenery objects from Japanese FS designer Shige (as well as other cities) has been known for quite a while. Unfortunately, since release of FSGenesis updated Hawaii coastlines (and later UT USA and MegaSecenery Hawaii) this freeware sceerny was not useful due to it being designed for the default Honolulu terrain. This has now been corrected and the good news is that Hawaii 2004 fits nicely with any of the corrected Oahu terrain sceneries. This shot is with UT USA. Pardon the landclass (doesn't look so good) but now I'm using the Megascenery for my terrain so I haven't bothered to correct tthe terrain textures at all. Scenery is available here:http://homepage3.nifty.com/jb/file is hawaii_gp.zip. In this shot of downtown you can see among other things Aloha Tower, State Capital, Iolani Palace, Honolulu Hale, Aliiolani Hale, etc. All the major Waikiki hotles are also modeled. About the only thing missing is Tripler Army Hospital to make flyng out of PHNL complete. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/149994.jpgscott s..

Thanks for the tip. Yea, gotta chime in on this one. With MegaScenery on sale this weekend I finally grabbed it, added 9.6m mesh, UT, LAGO Honolulu, new AFCAD, and now these updated scenery objects. WOW! Before Shige's scenery would bogg down even the heartiest PC, but these new objects are superb. Looks like all new models of the hotels. So tonight I fly out of Honolulu to my 1st visit into "VOZ land". Can't wait. :)
