G-sync will sync with ANY fps, including down to 1 fps, simply by refreshing at a rate above the monitors minimum refresh, but always as a multiple of fps.

My understanding (which could very well be wrong) is that below 30 FPS G-Sync either reverts to v-sync or repeats frames, both of which can cause tearing or stuttering. I used this article as my reference: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/review-nvidia-g-sync-makes-your-pc-games-look-amaz/1100-6424349/. Under the "Sounds Good, But Does G-Sync Actually Work?" heading it says "Anything below 30fps results in the same kind of stuttering that you see with V-Sync turned on, so don't expect miracles if you're running older hardware"

Are you limited to 27" max?  I upsized to 43", just a HDTV at 1080p, but I got to agree, size matters.

Vortex,

Yeah, I should've taken a breath before I posted, hope I didn't come across too harsh, but I wish I had a dollar for every time I've seen a post saying that G-sync doesn't work below an fps of XXX. You are, however, 100% correct regarding the repeat frames, but it doesn't cause tearing or stuttering, as the repeats are exact multiples of current fps. Check out this video which gives a very comprehensive demonstration of how G-sync solves the low fps dilemma: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkrJU5d2RfA

Early implementations of G-sync did not have the ability to do the multi-frame refresh, which I think is the cause of this common misperception, that G-sync doesn't work below an arbitrary fps.
