FS2CREW checklist sound lost, and CTD

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I need your help with this.

When I start a flight, everything looks good and normal. But for example: I call for descent checklist and I want to cancel the checklist so I use: "cancel the checklist". At that time, FS2crew sound stop working. I can't recall for descent checklist again by using "Descent checklist" "resume the checklist" and so on. Then, if I use the arrows to change cycle the error continues. I can see the green bar recognizing what I say, but no aural response of the F/O. The F/O do the checks, and move the switches, but no voice is heard.

The problem is scratching my head and I don't know how to solve it. I TRIED EVERYTHING IN FORUMS (and also checked more than few times my config..),

On the other hand, I used 2 different headsets, one is "Razer Chroma" and the other is a generic one. Both of them are USB.

I read forums and manual a loooot but i can't get this to work well.

Any suggestion?

strange  just  read  this  and  just  tried  the  phrase   as  the op  has  done, had  no issues(fo of  course  didnt  restart  the  checklist),  used  the  restart  check list with no errors, using  fsx   might be  different  than p3d?

Don't worry.  I've added it to the list of things to check for the next NGX update.

Ok! I forgot to say I am using P3DV4 VERYLAST VERSION.  As soon as I say cancel the checklist checklist sound stop working. Otherwise, If I click run preflight events, FO voice works except checklist things. Also Flight attendant sound stop working too.

How can I do a CLEAN reinstall? Just to try.. I uninstallee by control panel and deleted some folders and cleaned the register....

You don't need to touch the registry.

For an clean install, just run the installer again.

Just don't say "Cancel the Checklist" for now until I can look at it.  You're probably the only one who ever used that phrase, but we'll look at it.

Ok. Can I somehow mute my microphone to talk my friends by skype and don't trigger the checklist accidentally? And also Is there another way to reset a checklist I trigered unvoluntary?

I think it happens too when I use "transit "x" checklist"

I will perform a test flight today... keep you updated

You can use "Soft Mute" and "Hard Mute".

Please see the manual for how to to set it up.

Hard Mute is easiest, you just press HS on the Main Panel.  Then the system will not act on any detected speech.

For resetting the checklist, the phrase is in the manual.

I recall it's "Restart the checklist" or "Lets start again".

You can also manually cycle the FS2Crew mode back and forth to reset it the checklist.

Generally, though, it's pretty hard to accidentally trigger a checklist.

Generally speaking, the longer the phrase, the harder it is for the speech recognition system to accidentally detect it.

I tested again and using "lets start again" works like a charm! However, cancel the checklist command still giving problem so i won't use it anymore. Also didn't have any problem changing cycles with arrows or using transit like i had before reinstall.

I would say, problem is fixed now. I will enjoy this masterpiece product a looot!!

Thank you bryan for your magnific support like always ;)
