Guess i should tell you where i am....  im stuck in a stone room i can see Prepar3d on a pane on a wall in one the rooms 2D  and cannot figure out for the life of me how to resolve this. I read almost every post here, Downloaded Flyinside P3d4  but it does not recognize Odyssey also downloaded Steam and SteamVR it doesn't recognize Odyssey so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again Steve

I do not use Flyinside. With Native VR you just have to configure the Odyssey via the WMR App and then on SteamVR and it would work flawlessly. Perhaps Flyinside is incompatible with the Odyssey? It also could be that you did not configure the device correctly in Steam or in the WMR App.

You should start the WMR Portal before opening P3Dv4 and then activate Native VR (SteamVR is then automatically activated). Opening the WMR Portal after loading P3D may lead to some sound issues with some aircraft (at least for me).

Native VR is P3D's own VR implementation, without the need for 3rd. party plugins such as Flyinside.

To get Flyinside to work you have to download the Windows Mixed Reality plugin for Steam VR, then it will recognize your headset and work flawlessly. I tried the native on P3D but it just isn't where it needs to be yet. Flyinside is much more user friendly and functional inside the sim.
