March 23, 20188 yr I don't know if this question has been addressed before (did a search with no luck), but, have you noticed that some developers do not turn on the runway or taxiway lights in daytime instrument meteorological conditions? Is there some config file that controls this? Or is this "baked into" the coding and is not configurable. It seems that they should be on in IMC. Also, haven't seen the airport beacon on in IMC in virtually all airports. Have you? Am using FSDT, Flightbeam, PacSim, and the like airports. Just curious. Many thanks! P. March 24, 20188 yr It seems that a majority of airport developers use the generic runway lighting at least to some extent such as HIRL/MIRL, centerline and approach lights. There is not a lever that allows a user to turn these on during daytime IMC. Some developers that create custom lighting will provide an option for daytime lights that is typically in some kind of configuration app installed with the scenery. Unless you have that option there's not much that can be done. This is just one example of the shortcomings of the 'as real as it gets' slogan used by Microsoft and not yet fixed by LM. I suggest posting in the LM forum such a thing as a feature request.... but I suspect that such a feature would involve major restructuring of a lot of old old code. Dan Downs KCRP
